Fall Lesson Programs

Learn to Ride the Ranch Way — Children’s Private Lessons

Our private children’s lessons are designed to teach more than simply how to sit in a saddle. Learn to Ride the Ranch Way means learning how to understand, communicate with, and build a relationship with your horse while gaining the confidence to ride in a real ranch environment.

Each lesson brings together horsemanship, arena-based riding, and ranch riding as we move beyond the arena and explore the fields, woods, and around the ponds. Children learn how to work with their horse, recognize how their horse responds to them, and develop the skills and awareness that come from actually riding the ranch.

Every lesson is built around the individual child, allowing them to learn at a pace that feels right for them. Parents are welcome to participate and be part of the experience, but parent participation is not required.

It is a personal growth opportunity wrapped into time with a horse—building confidence, responsibility, awareness, and a genuine connection along the way.

Learn to Ride the Ranch Way — One-on-One Adult Private Lessons

Our one-on-one adult private lessons are built around you, your experience, and what you want to learn.

Learn to Ride the Ranch Way means going beyond simply learning to control a horse in an arena. You’ll develop practical horsemanship, learn to communicate with your horse, and build the confidence to ride through the varied environment of a working ranch.

Our all-around lesson experience includes horsemanship, arena-based riding, and ranch riding through the fields, woods, and around the ponds. The ranch itself becomes part of the lesson, giving you opportunities to learn how your horse responds to different surroundings, terrain, and situations.

Whether you are completely new to horses, returning to the saddle, or looking to become a more confident and capable rider, private instruction gives you the time and space to learn at your own pace.

This is not about rushing through a list of riding exercises. It is about understanding the horse beneath you, developing good horsemanship, and becoming comfortable riding the ranch.

Learn to Ride the Ranch Way — Children’s Group Lessons

Our small group lessons give children the opportunity to learn horsemanship, riding, and confidence together while experiencing something different from a traditional riding lesson.

Learn to Ride the Ranch Way means learning to work with the horse—not simply learning a pattern in an arena. Our lessons combine horsemanship, arena-based riding, and ranch riding, taking children beyond the arena and into the fields, woods, and around the ponds.

Children learn how to safely handle and communicate with their horses while developing balance, awareness, confidence, and good riding habits. They also learn to pay attention to their horse, their surroundings, and the riders around them.

The small-group setting allows children to learn alongside one another while still receiving individual guidance and encouragement. They get to experience the responsibility and connection that comes from working with a horse in a real ranch environment.

It is a riding lesson, but it is also a personal growth opportunity—time spent outside, learning something real, building confidence, and discovering what they are capable of.
